Here We Are

Here We Are invites reflection on our connection to the Earth, to the stars, to the oceans, and to ourselves – and explores both our commonalities and our differences. Inspired by a composition by Australian composer Cathy Milliken for choirs and organ, students from the “Gottfried Silbermann” Primary School in Freiberg developed their own stories and texts during a series of workshops.

As part of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025, the piece will have its world premiere at the Freiberg Cathedral. It will then be performed in four other European cities as a project of the association ECHO – European Cities of Historical Organs.
